Client-Side VBScript (2 Day Course)
 

 Course Summary:

VBScript is a subset of the Visual Basic programming language.  VBScript is designed as Microsoft's portable scripting language that is used to make HTML pages more dynamic and interactive.

You will learn how to write VBScript code and embed it inside of a web page.  The VBScript code will be used to change the properties of browser objects, detect the user's type of browser, create dynamic HTML and validate data entered on a form.  A brief introduction to ActiveX objects and Active Server Pages (ASP) is also included.


 Intended Audience:

This class is intended for web page developers who want to make their Web pages more dynamic, interactive and interesting using programming code embedded inside HTML.


 Prerequisites:

To ensure an effective learning environment, it is imperative that students meet minimum course prerequisites.

This course requires:

  • Complete familiarity with at least 90% of the topics covered in the outline for: "Advanced HTML Authoring".
    *Please refer to at course outline to be sure that you meet this requirement.
  • Basic word processing skills are crucial.
