Course Summary: |
|
|
The goal of this course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge to successfully ‘upgrade’ applications written in Visual Basic 6.0 to Microsoft’s newer VB .NET platform. It is not intended to replace the in-depth training that all developers moving to the .NET platform must undergo. Rather, it is intended to provide an overview of the changes to the Visual Basic programming language and the steps necessary to make code written in VB 6.0 function in VB .NET. Visual Basic .NET is a significant upgrade to Visual Basic and incorporates many new features and framework goals of the .NET architecture. These changes will allow Visual Basic developers to create enterprise applications for the .NET Platform and to create more traditional Visual Basic applications that can take advantage of the enhancements to the language. |
