Intermediate Visual Basic (3 Day Course)

 Course Summary:

The intermediate course specializes in advanced menu techniques, database connectivity via Active Data Objects (ADO) and ODBC & OLE DB Providers, and contrasts the SDI and MDI user interfaces. This course introduces ActiveX for object creation and code reuse. You will use some of the important VB Wizards to speed software development.


 Intended Audience:

This class is intended for Windows Application Developers and Programmers who wish to enhance their Visual Basic skills, especially in application design & functionality. The class is also geared to those wishing to begin to explore database connectivity and using VB to design functional front-end interfaces to various back-end data stores.


 Pre-requisites:

To ensure an effective learning environment, it is imperative that students meet minimum course prerequisites.

This course requires:

  • Complete familiarity with at least 90% of the topics covered in the outline for:
         Introduction to Visual Basic 6.0.
    *Please refer to that outline to be sure you meet this requirement.
  • You must be familiar with the VB Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
