Microsoft .NET C# Fundamentals For Existing Object-Oriented Programmers (4 Day Course)

 Course Summary:

The goal of this course is to provide developers with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to develop applications using Microsoft .NET technology.  Training and labs will employ the use of Microsoft’s .NET architecture with C# as the programming language. Emphasis is placed on building applications that adhere to industry best-practice and development standards.

Students will leave with a solid understanding of what .NET is all about, knowledge of how to navigate the Visual Studio .NET Integrated Design Environment (IDE) and a solid grasp of the C# programming language.


 Intended Audience:

Those developers who are currently using an Object Oriented or Object Based programming language (such as: VB, VB .NET, C, C++, Java) who will be developing applications using Microsoft’s .NET platform and are new to the .NET architecture, languages and/or development environment are the target audience for this class.


 Pre-requisites:

To ensure an effective learning environment, it is imperative that students meet minimum course prerequisites.

This course requires:

  • More than 1 year of practical programming experience using an Object Oriented programming language (i.e. C, C++, Java).

OR

  • More than 1 year of practical programming experience using an Object Based programming language (i.e. Visual Basic).
