Advanced MS Visual Basic (3 Day Course)

 Course Summary:

Code efficiency is discussed via ActiveX Code Components and ActiveX Controls. The ability for Visual Basic to interface with the Internet is a major topic and includes server-side scripting (ASP). The use of low-level Windows API calls is also explained. You will create your own ActiveX controls and Internet-aware applications. Some core Enterprise Features are introduced.


 Intended Audience:

This class is intended for Programmers and Developers who want to use the advanced features of Visual Basic to their maximum benefit. The course is designed to run on a Windows NT 4.0 Workstation coupled with the use of an NT 4.0 Server running IIS4.


 Prerequisites:

To ensure an effective learning environment, it is imperative that students meet minimum course prerequisites.

This course requires:

  • Complete familiarity with at least 90% of the topics covered in the outline for:
         Intermediate Visual Basic 6.0.
    *Please refer to that outline to be sure you meet this requirement.
  • At least six weeks of programming experience in Visual Basic 6.0.
